Arthritis affects women in pregnancy differently. Arthritis can affect pregnancy at any stage, from conception to the months following the birth. The prediction of the evolution of it is impossible. The most important concern is to maintain the best health of the mother and baby.

Having arthritis does not mean that a woman can not get pregnant. Some people inherit if the baby custionan arthritis. The cause of most forms of arthritis is unknown.

The greatest impact is drug cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan), an immunosuppressant that is administered in cases of autoimmune conditions, including lupus with complications nervous system disease or kidney disorders.

Cytoxan may cause ovarian failure, which makes the woman is not fertile. However, recent research shows that a hormonal drug, leuprolide (Lupron), can help reduce the risk of infertility in women taking Cytoxan.

The best time to talk to your doctor about prenatal vitamins and folic acid supplements (substance that helps reduce the risk of certain birth defects) is before pregnancy.

Some medicines may affect the fetus from the first few days of gestation. The effects of some drugs can remain in the body for a period of time after they are taken, so that should work with your doctor to reduce harmful drugs or to exchange for other less risky, at least for a few months before trying to get pregnant.

    The cause of carpal tunnel syndrome is not always known. Wrist injury, swelling associated with different types of arthritis, repetitive motion, certain occupations, diabetes, thyroid disease, inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, and hormonal changes have all been linked to carpal tunnel syndrome. However, sometimes it can develop for no obvious reason.
